Know Your Strengths

How often do you reflect on your strengths?

Do you know what you are really good at?
Do you know what yo
ur strengths are?

There is a difference between activities that you are good at and activities that play to your strengths.

Performance is what you are good at or not good at. You can be good at something and hate doing it!

We might not always judge our performance accurately but we know where our strengths lie.

Strengths strengthen us. We can over use them so we need to be mindful of that.

When Nikki Hill and I spoke recently on Life Beyond the Numbers Podcast (episode 53) she mentioned that generally throughout her career she noticed how we seem to reserve the strengths questions for interviews and she thinks it should be something that we ask ourselves more regularly.

This inspired me to pull together an infographic which was further inspired by Marcus Buckingham and his StandOut Strengths work.

How often do you reflect on your strenghts?

And find your path

Books, books, books. Where would we be without books? I know that my life is so much richer because of them. And I am deeply grateful to the people who bravely put their pen to paper and let us into their world. They are practical books covering three topics close to my heart: numbers, writing and people.
